Specialized model for Bluefin tuna over 200kg
In big game fishing like tuna fishing, the fight is a high-stress situation, and the most important factor in a long-hour flight is how comfortable the angler can continue the fight.
So, glass solid rods were common for this type of fishing.
The main advantages of glass solid are its sturdiness and resistance to breaking, and its low resilience makes it easy to maintain the fighting position.
By taking advantage of these characteristics and adopting a tubular design, we added aggressive lift and a speedy fight like a lure rod.
This resulted in a rod with a new feel and performance not found in conventional stand-up drifting rods.
In recent years, tuna fishing has reached its peak in Japan, and the size of the tuna is getting larger every year.
The number of catches from lure casting and jigging has increased dramatically, and compared to a few years ago, the number and size of the fish have improved dramatically, making it a viable game in various areas.
However, in situations that do not meet the conditions for lure fishing, such as “the bait is not concentrated and the tuna does not come to the top water,” “the target is over 200 kg and the water is deep,” or “there is no reaction from the fish finder or sonar,” it is said that drifting has an overwhelming advantage.
As a manufacturer of tuna rods, this is a genre that we are interested in, and we have received voices from customers eager to commercialize it, development has progressed rapidly after meeting a captain who is familiar with this type of fishing.
After considering the rod’s strength, fighting fulcrum, and taper, we arrived at a glass composite carbon tubular design. This blank combines the resilience of a carbon rod with the tenacity of glass, bringing a new sensation to this category.
Ripple Fisher’s practical strength is not the breaking strength of the rod. It is a numerical value/strength that allows the angler to use it safely and to effectively put pressure on the fish. Putting more weight on the angler will significantly increase the burden on the angler, leading to physical exhaustion and danger. Please refer to the numerical value as it is within the practical range for fishing.

By being able to fight with the high stick, the fulcrum is closer and the load can be released downwards. At this time, the butt section (front grip section) bends slightly, stabilizing the fighting position and making things easier for the angler and making it easier to reel in the fish. Bending the entire rod generates the recovery force that is unique to the tubular design and increases the force to pull the target up to the surface. However, if the butt section bends too much, it can cause of problems such as not being able to control the fish or the line touching the grip section, so it was essential that the rod not only “bend” but also have both stiffness and repulsion.

This is a full tubular blank “Stand-up tuna drifting” rod that targets large yellowfin tuna to marlin.
The DFT61/6-8 has a highly sensitive tip section that allows you to send bait to the school of fish, and a flexible belly section that bites well and has high hook-up ability even in severe conditions so that you won’t miss any rare opportunities.

The DFT511/12-15 was developed with a focus on super-large bluefin tuna over 200kg, and its aim was to provide the fighting performance to catch super-large bluefin tuna efficiently and in a short time.
In addition to the strong force of recovery and high lifting power unique to tubular blanks, the butt section is reinforced with high-strength carbon material with high tension, making it a sturdy rod with the power to control even super-large sizes. Despite its overwhelming rod power, in order to minimize physical exhaustion, the fulcrum of the bending during the fight is placed at the angler’s hand, and the tapered design allows the entire rod to bend and restore, making it easy to regain position even during long fights under ultra-high loads, allowing for a tenacious and stable fight until landing.
The DFT511/12-15 is a standing swimming rod that combines Ripple Fisher’s knowledge of big game fishing and design technology cultivated over many years at a high level for anglers who aim to reach the top and challenge records.

Guides
The guides are made of high-strength HBSG and RBSG guides, and the spiral setting helps to reduce twisting the blank from the belly to the tip when fighting with the rod upright.
Aluminum Sheet
An original aluminum sheet is used. It has a functional and chic design. Aluminum parts are also attached to protect the blank and prevent scratches when it is installed in the rod holder or on the rod holder of the Lark.
Engraved part
The SPEC of each rod is engraved on the aluminum parts.
Grip
The front grip is equipped a long EVA. Even when using the low-position fighting belt to hold the rod upright, you can hold the front part high and maintain a comfortable fighting position.
Design
The overall design is simple and stylish. The butt section is made of plain weave carbon, which not only provides high resilience and resistance to bending but also improves the design.
