In the fall of 2025, the long-awaited “AGILE” series in the light jigging category will be released!!
The light jigging game category covers a wide variety of targets, with a diverse range of lures, jigs, and methods to match, making it a game that is highly regional and seasonal.
Covering everything would require a detailed lineup, which is no easy feat.
But I wanted to cover as wide a range as possible, be able to take it to various locations, and to target targets that I had previously targeted using PE3 or above, but with a finesse approach using thin line and lightweight jigs, so I wondered how far I could go with this blank design and action, and developed the AGILE series.
I thought that by making it highly versatile and adaptable, it would allow a certain degree of freedom depending on the user.
I’ve created a rod that is not only usable as a main rod in my favorite fields, but also as a rod for targeting local fish as a side game when I travel.
First up are two completely different models being released this fall. These two different characters will cover a wide range of situations and allow for a variety of game strategies.
■OceanArrow AGILE 67ML
The AGILE 67ML, which is primarily suited to reeling fishing, has a loading action blank and a smooth taper designed for reeling tungsten jigs and action, as well as red snapper fishing in deep waters and rapids, while still retaining a firm butt section for versatility that allows it to handle unexpectedly large fish.
■OceanArrow AGILE 60MH
The AGILE 60MH is a rod that combines technicality and finesse with stiffness throughout the blank, making it ideal for the delicate action of semi-long jigs and slow fall jigging.
Length : 6ft7in(Closed Length:1,475mm)
Lure : Rubber 100~300 g TG 60~180g
Line : Pe 0.8~2.0
Weight:136g
Price: Please check with our authorized dealers in your region.
It excels at delicately appealing with tungsten jigs to fish eaters preying on Tairubber and micro baits in deep waters over 100-150m deep and in current areas.
The sensitive and flexible tip and belly sections sense changes in the ocean, allowing for precise jig control and a smooth hook-up. Once a fish is hooked, the rod bends smoothly, and the fulcrum shifts to the butt section, where the stiff butt section controls the fish’s run and lifts it up.
Length : 6ft (Closed Length:1335mm)
Lure : Jig 100~180 g Slow 150~250g
Line : Pe 0.8~2.0
Weight:127g
Price : Please check with our authorized dealers in your region.
The 60MH features a regular taper that gives the rod a firm feel throughout, and a highly responsive blank design that allows for both fast and slow actions.
The highly responsive blank excels at fine movements, but can also handle a wide range of jig weights, giving it great flexibility and making it suitable for any situation.
When fighting, the entire rod bends, making it possible to fully utilize the strength of light line, allowing you to enjoy the thrilling fight with large fish.
When the load is low, the 67ML’s tip and belly move in smoothly to detect and follow bites, and the butt section has plenty of power, allowing you to force the fish to pull up with tightened drag if necessary.
In comparison, the 60MH has just the right amount of stiffness in the tip, but when high loads are applied, the entire rod bends, and the more you tighten it, the more resilience it generates.
These two completely different models are named ML and MH, but this is simply a difference in feel, not power.
・Butt section/design
The butt part has a matte finish, giving it a simple and chic design.
・Reel seat ・Grip
Both models use PSLS15 reel seats.
They’re light and easy to grip, making them compatible with a wide range of reel sizes. The rear grip is designed to make it easy to hold EVA rods, while the front features a smart design made of aluminum parts.
・Guides
The 67ML’s guides are configured to connect the high-footed T-KWSG to the T-KTSG, reducing resistance from the butt guide and allowing for smooth reeling.
The 60MH is set up with T-LRVSG to T-KTSG in consideration of fighting performance.
The newly released AGILE series falls into Ripple Fisher’s light jigging category, but the two models, the 67ML and 60MH, are slightly stronger than typical light jigging rods.
This is a new challenge for Ripple Fisher, and we have proposed this style based on feedback from what we learned and found interesting when we ventured into an area of fishing that we had not explored much before.
Of course, the rods have enough performance to make them easy to enjoy, but they are by no means positioned as just light jigging tackle; they are also an attempt to target larger fish with a different approach than before.
Light jigging is both easy and deep, and can be enjoyed in any area. It’s a category that will continue to grow, thanks to the emergence of new methods, jigs, and lures, as well as the remarkable evolution of PE line and improvements in reel drag performance.
Light jigging is regional and seasonal, with a wide range of targets, styles, and strategies, and endless fun, making it the perfect game to pursue and enjoy to the fullest without ever getting bored.
Ripple Fisher will continue to explore the depths of this game and its enjoyment with the AGILE series.
