【New Product Overview】SilverStream 911B Stiletto MX

2026 New Product – SilverStream 911B Stiletto MX

The Stiletto MX Series has been engineered to push sensitivity and handling performance to the absolute limit.

Developed in pursuit of the pinnacle of seabass rod performance, the series now welcomes its long-awaited baitcasting model — the SilverStream 911B Stiletto MX.

What is the Stiletto MX?

The “Stiletto MX Series” is Ripple Fisher’s flagship seabass rod series, designed with ultra-high-modulus carbon blanks to push sensitivity and handling performance to the absolute limit.

The series delivers a light and responsive casting feel along with exceptional lure control, while pursuing outstanding sensitivity to detect even the slightest changes beneath the surface and subtle short bites. Once a fish is hooked, however, the entire blank responds smoothly and flexibly, absorbing the load while maintaining the resilience needed to lift the fish with confidence.

By achieving a high-level balance between two seemingly opposing qualities—delicacy and power—the Stiletto MX Series supports every aspect of seabass fishing with exceptional speed and precision. It brings together the performance needed to make fish commit, regardless of the conditions.

The lineup now consists of four models: the existing three spinning models, joined by the newly introduced 911B Stiletto MX, the first baitcasting model in the series.

SilverStream Stiletto MX – In-Depth Guide to the Three Spinning Models

Why We Developed a Baitcasting Model

The Stiletto MX Series was developed around a core blank design concept: delivering clear feedback and exceptional responsiveness directly to the angler, while transmitting every input from the angler to the lure with immediacy and precision.

As we continued to pursue these qualities, we found that the heightened retrieve sensitivity, superior line control, and advantages during the fight offered by baitcasting tackle were exceptionally well matched with the blank characteristics of the Stiletto MX. Throughout the development process, our conviction grew stronger that this combination had the potential to create a truly exciting rod.

In recent years, the range of situations in which baitcasting tackle excels has steadily expanded, particularly in seabass fishing with large-bait patterns using jointed plugs and oversized minnows. However, our goal was never simply to add a baitcasting model to the lineup.

Instead, we wanted to transfer the fundamental blank design philosophy of the Stiletto MX Series directly into a baitcasting setup, minimizing any time lag throughout the entire sequence of casting, lure manipulation, bite detection, and hooking, while further refining the high-speed performance that lies at the heart of the series.

By combining this with the precise line control unique to baitcasting tackle and the ability to freely control changes in retrieve speed, we set out to create a rod that delivers an even more direct connection to the lure and the enjoyment of manipulating it exactly as intended.

That is why we developed the 911B Stiletto MX, the first baitcasting model in the Stiletto MX Series.

The front wood grip features a hook hole at the end, fitted with a rubber plug.

Not only does it provide a clean and secure way to hold your lure, but after landing a fish, it also allows the rod, lure, and fish to be arranged in a well-balanced composition—helping you capture a beautiful photo that preserves the memory of your fishing trip.

The grip features our original trigger design.

In addition to providing a comfortable grip, the trigger offers a larger contact area for the fingers, ensuring a secure hold even during the high-speed casting motions characteristic of the Stiletto MX Series.

This helps minimize unwanted movement during the cast, resulting in greater casting accuracy and stable, precise lure control.

The Essence of the 911B Stiletto MX

The 911B Stiletto MX is neither a highly specialized technical model designed solely for pinpoint casting, nor a high-power model built simply to cast big baits with ease.

Although it is the first baitcasting model in the series, at its core lies the same concept shared throughout the Stiletto MX Series: an ultra-high-modulus carbon blank designed to transmit even the slightest changes beneath the surface as clear, distinct information to the angler.

Our goal was to combine this exceptional transmission of information with the superior line control unique to baitcasting tackle and the direct feel of manipulating the lure, without compromising sensitivity.

A baitcasting rod constructed with ultra-high-modulus carbon may sound demanding or unforgiving at first. However, during the cast, the entire blank bends smoothly and naturally, making it a rod that does not require a highly specialized casting style or level of skill.

Its refined fundamental performance can be fully utilized by any angler.

The 911B Stiletto MX is a true all-round baitcasting rod that embodies what we consider the essential specifications of a seabass rod.

Static Load Comparison & Fishing Characteristics

The 911B Stiletto MX is the most powerful model in the series, placing it in the H+ class as a seabass rod.

Despite its power class, however, it feels remarkably light and responsive in hand, with handling characteristics closer to those of an MH-class rod. It achieves a high-level balance between two seemingly opposing qualities: power and agility.

As can be seen in the static load comparison chart, the 911B Stiletto MX maintains a firm, crisp feel all the way through the tip.

This firm ultra-high-modulus carbon blank design generates exceptional sensitivity, allowing the angler to clearly detect information transmitted from beneath the surface—even when using lightweight lures of around 15g—including changes in current, water pressure acting on the lure, bottom contact, and subtle short bites.

Combined with the precise line control unique to baitcasting tackle, this makes it possible to trace the intended course exactly as desired, whether delicately drifting a lure through the night while concentrating on the slightest feedback through the fingertips, or making pinpoint casts tight to structures scattered along the bottom.

For reaction-based daytime fishing, larger high-appeal plugs of around 50g—such as topwater lures, jointed plugs, and wakebaits, which can create considerable resistance when retrieved with spinning tackle—can be worked comfortably and with less strain thanks to the superior winding torque of a baitcasting reel.

From delicate, technical fishing to power-oriented games with large plugs, the 911B Stiletto MX offers the exceptional versatility and broad performance range that only a well-balanced baitcasting setup can provide.

Once a fish is hooked, the ample butt power of the H+ class allows the angler to maintain control without giving the fish the initiative. At the same time, the entire blank flexes smoothly to absorb the load, preventing the rod from ever feeling excessively stiff.

In Closing

What we set out to achieve with the 911B Stiletto MX was to express the performance philosophy that the Stiletto MX Series has pursued in an entirely new form.

Neither spinning tackle nor baitcasting tackle is inherently superior to the other. Each has its own distinct characteristics and advantages.

That is precisely why the 911B Stiletto MX was developed as a new option—one that inherits the philosophy and blank characteristics of the Stiletto MX Series while combining them with the precise line control and direct lure manipulation unique to baitcasting tackle.

From casting and lure manipulation to bite detection and hooking, the goal is to clearly visualize the entire process of making a seabass commit, and to execute the intended approach with a high degree of precision under any conditions.

A different approach from spinning tackle reveals possibilities that might otherwise remain unseen, and baitcasting tackle offers its own unique way of shaping the entire process leading up to the bite.

We invite you to experience the performance that the Stiletto MX Series has continued to pursue—this time through baitcasting tackle.

Release Schedule

The SilverStream 911B Stiletto MX is scheduled for release in September 2026. Please note that availability in overseas markets may be delayed due to international shipping times.

*The Stiletto MX Series utilizes high-modulus carbon. Excessively high rod angles, strong impacts, or damage to the blank may result in breakage. Please handle and use the rod with care.
